über jeanette und mohacin und MAMMA SAYS
jeanette is a conceptual artist as well as a political scientist. she studied politcal science, judaism and arabic studies at the university of vienna. she was also a student at the university for applied and fine arts. her organisation and lab is called trustroom. some of her projects are: ‚wien ist anders. ich auch.’ (vienna is different. so am I), ‚science graffiti’ and ‚lovepangs’. her dissertation was about ‚trust and creativity. the meaning of trust between people of diverse backgrounds within innovation networks’. in 2008 she received the ‚theodor-körner-preis for science and art’ for her work.
jeanette ist konzeptkünstlerin und politikwissenschaftlerin. sie studierte an der universität wien politikwissenschaft, judaistik und arabistik,  und an der universität für angewandte kunst und der akademie der bildenden künste. ‚trust room’ ist der name ihrer organisation und ihres labors. beispiele ihrer projekte sind ‚wien ist anders. ich auch.’, ‚science graffiti’ und ‚lovepangs’. sie schrieb ihre dissertation ‚vertrauen und kreativität. über die bedeutung von vertrauen zwischen diversiven akteurInnen in innovationsnetzwerken’. 2008 erhielt sie den ‚theodor-körner-preis für wissenschaft und kunst’.

    


mohacin  used to live and work as a textile artist in sudan where she had her own atelier. she comes from a large family. difficult political circumstances however  brought her to vienna. in the summer of 2005 mohacin, umyma (mohacin‘s daughter) and jeanette met and became friends. jeanette had the idea to found a joint design label. they called it MAMMA SAYS and are now working on it together.
mohacin lebte und arbeitete als künstlerin und schneiderin im sudan. sie hatte ihr atelier und eine grosse familie im sudan, doch politische umstände brachten sie nach wien. im sommer 2005 trafen mohacin, umyma (mohacins tochter) und jeanette sich erstmals und wurden freundinnen. jeanette hatte die idee ein gemeinsames label zu gründen und nun arbeiten sie zusammen für MAMMA SAYS

both women lost their mothers early on. dealing with their loss they came up with the thought of what a loving and happy mamma would say to her beloved children and had the idea of transporting these messages – this is what MAMMA SAYS is all about: words that should help us and empower us to create a wonderful and peaceful life for us and others. step one is to love yourself.
beide frauen haben ihre mütter früh verloren und sie begannen darüber nachzudenken, was eine liebende und glückliche mutter ihren geliebten kindern sagen würde. das sind die botschaften von MAMMA SAYS produkten: worte, die helfen und uns stärken, um ein wundervolles und friedliches leben für uns und andere zu gestalten. erste schritte: sich selbst zu lieben.
